General Introduction

This course aims to cultivate trainees’ mastery of the scientific principles of CG illustration creation, proficiency in digital painting techniques, and the development of creative artistic design thinking. In alignment with trainees’ cognitive development, the course is developed by a teaching team with both industry and academic experience. Through a systematic and structured approach, the course comprehensively covers the full process of CG illustration production—spanning five progressive learning stages: illustration definition, creative conception, visual composition,

color application, and practical implementation. This step-by-step instructional design enables beginners to develop a solid foundation in painting fundamentals, master essential drawing techniques, and achieve independent creative expression. Meanwhile, the course emphasizes practical engagement to cultivate professional literacy, integrating illustration teaching with hands-on industry practice to establish a course model that meets the evolving needs of diverse career pathways.

This Course is for

1. Helping trainees understand the fundamental concepts and techniques of illustration design, while deepening their comprehension of visual composition and color theory.
2. Enabling trainees to develop rich spatial thinking, keen observation, and creative imagination, as well as the ability to collect and explore knowledge related to nature, history, culture, folklore, and costume design—and to refine and reinterpret such materials in their own creative work.
