General Introduction
This course provides a systematic explanation of the working principles, typical structures, and design methods of machine tool fixtures. The course aims to cultivate trainees’ mastery of workpiece positioning and clamping techniques,
and to develop their foundational ability to design specialized fixtures for typical machining processes. It establishes a solid basis for future work in tooling and fixture design for mechanical machining.

This Course is for
1. Helping trainees master the fundamental principles and methods of workpiece positioning and clamping.
2. Enabling trainees to become familiar with the structures and characteristics of various general-purpose and specialized fixtures.
3. Guiding trainees to develop initial competencies in fixture selection, analysis, and preliminary design, while cultivating rigorous process-oriented thinking and safety awareness, thereby laying a solid foundation for future work in tooling design for mechanical manufacturing.
