General Introduction
This course is a core course for the Applied Chemical Technology major. It supports the development of competencies in refining-production operation and process control, and is designed to connect with preceding and subsequent courses such as Organic Chemistry and Organic Chemical Production Technology.
The course is oriented toward operator and laboratory technician positions in refining enterprises within both the “Yellow Zone” and “Blue Zone.” It aims to cultivate trainees’ abilities in refining-production operation and process control, enhance their professional knowledge of refining processes and equipment, and foster professional qualities such as dedication, responsibility, and collaborative innovation.

This Course is for
1. Helping trainees master the structural features and operating parameters of petroleum-refining equipment, become familiar with their working principles, and understand the key reaction principles and characteristics of petroleum refining.
2. Enabling trainees to perform typical DCS simulation operations for refining processes, complete temperature and pressure control tasks, and produce process flow diagrams for atmospheric and vacuum distillation units.
3. Guiding trainees to develop innovation awareness and the ability to contribute to process improvement, equipment optimization, and technological development.
