1. Being able to proficiently apply knowledge of taxonomy and pathology to accurately identify major insect pests, mites, and pathogens (such as fungi and bacteria) in agricultural and horticultural systems, and to correctly diagnose the associated damage symptoms.
2. Capable of conducting standardized field investigations and specimen handling, independently analyzing and evaluating the dynamics of pest and disease occurrence, and, based on ecological principles such as the disease triangle, performing preliminary risk assessments and making scientifically grounded control decisions.
3. Demonstrating strong professional competence and regulatory awareness, including adherence to plant quarantine standards, safe production practices, and sustainable management principles, with the capability to meet international requirements for precise diagnosis and integrated management of plant pests and diseases.
