General Introduction
This course focuses on cultivating students’ core abilities in morphological identification, taxonomic authentication and botanical origin verification of medicinal plants. It mainly teaches basic theories, knowledge and skills covering plant cells and tissues,
morphological recognition of organs, fundamentals of plant taxonomy, characteristics of common medicinal plant families and genera, and original plant identification.

This Course is for
1. Enabling trainees to master the basic theories and development history of Medicinal botany, as well as the introduction and development of new medicinal plant resources.
2. Helping trainees to master the identification methods of plant cells, tissues, and organs, as well as core skills such as the classification of medicinal plants, the use of identification keys, and microscopic identification.
3. Guiding trainees to lay a solid foundation for further study of Chinese Materia Medica, Chinese Materia Medica Identification and other Medicinal-related courses.
