General Introduction
The International Experts Sharing Meeting brings together distinguished scholars, industry practitioners, educators, and professionals from ASEAN and beyond to exchange insights on the role of automation and emerging technologies in supporting sustainable industrial development and accelerating the transition toward greener industries. This edition focuses on “Sustainable Automation for Green Industrial Development.” As industries continue to embrace digital transformation and advanced technologies, automation presents significant opportunities to improve productivity, optimize resource use, reduce environmental impact, and support more sustainable industrial practices. However, achieving these benefits requires a balance between technological innovation, environmental responsibility, and long-term economic development.
The session invites participants to explore how automation can contribute to greener and more sustainable industrial systems. Key topics include industrial automation, smart manufacturing, energy efficiency, resource optimization, green technologies, digital transformation, sustainable production, circular economy, and the integration of emerging technologies to reduce environmental impact. Through expert presentations, industry case studies, and interactive discussions, the meeting promotes knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical insights into the application of sustainable automation. It aims to inspire participants to understand how technological advancement can go hand in hand with environmental sustainability and responsible industrial growth. Ultimately, the session seeks to strengthen collective efforts toward more efficient, innovative, resilient, and environmentally sustainable industries.
