In order to meet the diverse learning needs of overseas students, Shanghai Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry has created two international digital course resources based on the standards of horticultural technology. The course names are "Floral Design" and "Flower Production".

Through the study of these two courses, students can master the identification and handling of common floral materials, maintenance methods for floral works, and the basic design techniques of both Chinese and Western floral arrangements; understand the classification and propagation methods of flowers, as well as the fundamental processes and technical essentials of seedling cultivation and management of herbaceous flowers, potted plant production, and cut flower cultivation. These areas of knowledge will help students build a comprehensive knowledge system, lay a solid foundation for subsequent studies or work in horticultural technology, and create more possibilities for future career development.
