General Introduction
This course is a core course in the Applied Chemical Technology program. Centered on the caustic soda production process, the course systematically introduces the process principles, equipment operation,
and troubleshooting methods involved in procedures such as brine purification, electrolysis, and chlorine-hydrogen treatment. The course aims to develop trainees’ process-oriented operational capabilities and professional competencies.

This Course is for
1. Helping trainees master the process principles and operational procedures of each stage in ion-exchange membrane caustic soda production.
2. Enabling trainees to identify key operating equipment and handle common operational faults.
3. Developing trainees’ awareness of safe production and cleaner production practices.
4. Helping trainees meet the competency requirements for professional qualifications such as Chemical General Control Operator.
5. Establishing a foundation for trainees for subsequent study in advanced professional courses.
