General Introduction
This course plays a supporting role in cultivating international engineering talent for the Belt and Road Initiative. Drawing on Guangxi University’s achievements in developing civil engineering as a world-class discipline, this course systematically teaches the composition,
properties, and applications of civil engineering materials. Delivered entirely in English, it is suitable for international students and engineering professionals, and serves as a core course for the civil engineering major.

This Course is for
1. Enabling trainees to master the basic properties and testing methods of civil engineering materials.
2. Helping trainees become familiar with the typical applications of commonly used materials in engineering.
3. Helping trainees understand the development trends of green and emerging materials.
4. Cultivating trainees’ ability in material selection and engineering practice, laying a foundation for subsequent courses and career development.
