General Introduction

This course is designed for trainees and in-service personnel from ASEAN countries, with a focus on developing practical capabilities in data processing and statistical analysis. The course covers core modules including data collection, data organization and description, time series analysis, statistical indices, sampling inference, and correlation and regression analysis.

Emphasizing practicality and skill development, the course features a clear structure and moderate level of difficulty, while integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications. It aims to help trainees master fundamental statistical tools and methods and enhance their professional competitiveness.

This Course is for

1. Helping trainees understand the fundamental concepts, operational procedures, and commonly used tools of statistics.
2. Enabling trainees to master the basic methods of data collection, organization, description, and analysis.
3. Developing trainees’ ability to use statistical software such as Excel for data processing and chart production.
4. Helping trainees acquire foundational skills in time series analysis, statistical indices, sampling inference, and correlation and regression analysis, thereby establishing a basis for further professional study and career development.
