General Introduction
This course focuses on developing students’ competencies in animal disease prevention and quarantine. It equips students with the essential knowledge and basic skills in animal disease prevention and quarantine required for veterinary disease prevention personnel,
quarantine personnel, and animal husbandry management personnel, and develops their professional competencies for animal disease prevention and quarantine work.

This Course is for
1. Helping trainees acquire the knowledge and skills required for animal quarantine inspectors, veterinary laboratory technicians, and related positions.
2. Equipping trainees with the ability to master the methods and procedures for animal disease quarantine, quarantine at places of origin, slaughter quarantine, transportation quarantine supervision, and post-quarantine handling.
3. Laying the necessary foundation for further study of integrated veterinary medicine courses.

1. Understanding the basic knowledge and skills required for animal disease prevention and quarantine.
2. Being able to carry out disease prevention measures, including the use of common disinfection equipment, preparation of commonly used disinfectants, disinfection of premises, disinfection with animals present, disinfection for animal quarantine, development of compulsory immunization programs, implementation of immunization procedures, and preventive medication.
3. Understanding the pathological characteristics of common diseases in pigs and poultry, and being able to make preliminary diagnoses and collect, preserve, and submit pathological specimens for laboratory examination.
