General Introduction
This course focuses on developing students’ competencies in application development based on embedded real-time operating systems. It primarily covers the principles, programming approaches, and engineering practices of RT-Thread basic I/O, thread scheduling, and peripheral
development, thereby aligning with the requirements of embedded development positions and laying a solid foundation in core real-time operating system development skills.

This Course is for
1. Helping trainees become familiar with the architecture and operating mechanisms of the RT-Thread embedded real-time operating system, as well as the underlying principles of basic I/O.
2. Equipping trainees with practical skills in thread scheduling, inter-thread communication, and peripheral driver development, as well as the corresponding programming methods.
3. Enabling trainees to develop fundamental embedded project development capabilities and lay a solid foundation for advanced courses such as Operating System Porting.

Benefits of Learning

1. Understanding how to perform basic operations in the RT-Thread development environment, including project compilation, program downloading, and debugging.
2. Being able to understand RT-Thread thread concepts, thread synchronization, inter-thread communication, and time management, and apply these methods to embedded system development.
3. Understanding the RT-Thread device model and being able to use device model interfaces to read peripheral information and develop peripheral applications, such as temperature sensor applications, ADC voltage measurement, motor control, and smart car operation.
4. Being able to use RT-Thread software packages to develop applications, such as developing infrared remote-control applications for mobile robots using an infrared communication software package.
5. Understanding how to troubleshoot simple code bugs based on program error messages and device operating behavior, and being able to debug and modify programs accordingly.
6. Being able to read and understand RT-Thread sample code and integrate threads and peripheral drivers to develop and implement small-scale embedded applications.
