General Introduction
The International Experts Sharing Meeting brings together distinguished scholars, practitioners, and professionals from ASEAN and beyond to exchange perspectives on emerging trends and best practices in hands-on training and industry–academia cooperation. This edition focuses on “Hands-on Training & Industry–Academia Cooperation.” In an increasingly dynamic and skills-driven world, education systems are expected not only to deliver theoretical knowledge but also to prepare graduates who are ready to contribute effectively in professional environments. As industries evolve rapidly due to technological advancements, institutions face new opportunities and responsibilities to design experiential learning environments, strengthen partnerships with industry, and ensure that learning outcomes remain relevant to real-world demands.
The session invites participants to explore how practical training, apprenticeships, and collaborative projects can enhance student competencies and employability. Topics include curriculum alignment with industry needs, work-integrated learning models, innovation development pathways, and the role of professional stakeholders in shaping future-ready graduates. Through expert presentations, case studies, and interactive discussions, the meeting promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange. It aims to encourage participants to reflect on educational practices, share real-world experiences, and strengthen collective efforts to bridge the gap between education and professional practice through sustainable cooperation.
