General Introduction
This edition highlights "Why I Want to Learn Skills Across Borders?" As globalization and digital technology continue to connect people from different countries, the ability to learn skills beyond national boundaries has become increasingly valuable, particularly for younger generations. Access to diverse knowledge, international collaboration, and exposure to different cultures can open new opportunities for education, careers, and personal growth. However, alongside these benefits come important challenges, including language barriers, differences in educational systems, cultural adaptation, and the need for continuous learning and open-mindedness. In an era where knowledge and professional opportunities can be accessed instantly through online platforms and global networks, understanding the importance of cross-border skill development is essential. The topic encourages participants to examine how international learning experiences can broaden perspectives,
strengthen adaptability, and enhance future competitiveness, while highlighting the importance of collaboration and cultural understanding in a rapidly changing world. Through presentations, case studies, and interactive discussions, this session invited participants to explore how learning skills across borders can create new opportunities for innovation, cooperation, and personal development. The session also emphasized the importance of lifelong learning, intercultural communication, and global awareness in helping young people thrive in an interconnected world. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their own learning goals, identify skills they wish to develop through international exposure, and consider how cross-border knowledge sharing can contribute to stronger and more inclusive ASEAN communities and beyond.
